A Cozy Elopement Along the Venice Canals at Palazzo Cavalli
Today’s charming elopement takes us to one of Italy’s most adored cities. Not only is it the most romantic city in Italy, but it’s also known as one of the most romantic cities in the world. Famous for its iconic canals, cobblestone streets, beautiful bridges, and magical vibe, Venice Palazzo Cavalli is an incredible choice for an Italian elopement!
The couple excitedly chose to elope in Venice
Knowing that they wanted a destination wedding in Italy, Sara and Andy, a friendly couple from New York City, reached out to Leoeventi’s founder, Monica, as soon as they started planning their big day. The couple enthusiastically shared their hopes for an elopement on Lake Como. However, since they were set on having a January wedding, Monica advised them that Lake Como would be very cold at that time and most of the area’s activities would be shut during the off-season.
After discussing some different Italian destinations, the couple excitedly chose to elope in Venice instead! Although it would be cool during that time, Leoeventi always recommends weddings in Venice between September and May to avoid the intense heat and large summer crowds.
First look in front of Venice’s signature gondolas.
When it came time to pick a ceremony venue, Sara and Andy fell in love with Palazzo Cavalli. Situated in the heart of Venice and overlooking the Grand Canal, this palace is one of the most important historical buildings in the city. Its elegant interior and impressive panorama views make Palazzo Cavalli one of the loveliest spots for an elopement in Venice!
On the day of their wedding, the skies were blue and the sun was out in Venice. Sara and Andy started their celebration with their first look in front of Venice’s signature gondolas, and this precious moment was perfectly captured by a talented local photographer.
To make the most out of the warmest hours of the day and the beautiful sunlight, the couple continued their photoshoot before the ceremony. Since their photographer knew every corner of the city, Sara and Andy were able to get incredible photos in some of Venice’s most beautiful locations. It looked like a scene straight out of a movie as this lovely couple walked the streets of Venice in their wedding attire and captivated everyone’s attention!
Legally Binding ceremony at Palazzo Cavalli
Next up, it was time to head to Palazzo Cavalli for their legally binding ceremony. In front of their small group of guests, Sara and Andy said their vows, exchanged beautiful rings, and sealed the deal by signing the marriage documents. With big smiles on their faces, the couple savored this special moment on one of Palazzo Cavalli’s charming balconies.
After a few more photos around Venice and an amazing dinner celebration, Sara and Andy’s extraordinary elopement came to an end. Although it wasn’t the Lake Como wedding they originally envisioned, the day turned out even better than they ever could have imagined!
