The Costiera Amalfitana, or Amalfi Coast, is widely considered Italy’s most scenic stretch of coastline, a landscape of towering bluffs, charming villages terraced into hillsides, precipitous corniche roads, luxuriant gardens, and expansive vistas over turquoise waters and green mountains. The Amalfi Coast lies along the southern flanks of the Sorrento Peninsula, a cliff-edged promontory that wanders out from the mainland at the southern end of the Bay of Naples. Its most famous towns—Amalfi, Positano, and Ravello—have captivated and inspired artists for centuries.

WEDDING TIPS:

Airport: the nearest airport is in Naples – from one hour to two hours car drive distance – Most of the roads are narrow and bendy.

Recommended period for weddings on the Amalfi Coast: from April to October.

Type of venues: The main options are hotels and restaurants in stunning terraces overlooking the sea. The Amalfi coast is known for its spectacular cliffs so it is very difficult to arrange beach weddings.

Special touch for your wedding on the coast: Have your legal civil ceremony in some of the gardens of the coastline town halls facing the sea as the gardens of Principessa di Piemonte in Ravello or the terrace of the town hall of Positano. There are also some beautiful catholic churches as the Duomo of Amalfi.
